If your truck has a 3126 can't you put a regular Road Ranger in it?

Or maybe a 66 series Road Ranger?

I don't think that's the same as what I'm referring to. I'm really not up on what the newer Transmissions are honestly.

But I would think with that engine you should have regular SAE bellhousing that you can put pretty much any Fuller transmission behind it like an rto transmission or rtx or rtlo 13 speed or 10 speed, whatever. A 13 speed would probably help the most.

The transmission I'm referring to they used them a lot behind like 3208 cats or even some gasoline engines used them. I'm not sure that they still make them but you can get parts for them and have them rebuilt though.

They are rt 6613 or rto 6613. They're made the same as the larger Transmissions but there smaller physically. They are only good to 660 foot pounds.

It also depends what size SAE bellhousing that you have. The rt6613 I have listed above takes a smaller SAE bellhousing. I believe the regular transmissions in a full-size tractor-trailer are SAE number one and these Transmissions are SAE number two. I'm sure someone here will be more knowledgeable about that

But I would think that engine you have would take one of those bellhousings as a standard SAE.

Some guys now put them into smaller trucks like F350s or that type of thing.

Oh wait I missed the F600 part but that Meritor decoder I linked should still be able to decipher what you have. I know I’m getting a little side tracked from the original question but knowing exactly what you’re working with always helps save time and money. Good luck with the transmission.

I’m 99% sure it’s an SAE2 housing, the MT643 is SAE2 and there are no adapter plates or custom anything between the engine and trans.

I HIGHLY doubt it’s putting more than 550-600 ft lbs.
