If you are asking because you want to become an agent for them you will find it hard to get loads booked.

Why do you say that have you worked with them before?

One Horn Transportation has excellent credit. The only blemish on their credit was for a load that was double brokered, in which the actual carrier was paid, and not the one who double brokered the load. It is not hard to move freight for them or any other brokerage house if you are working with credit worthy customers. They are financially sound having almost 1000 carriers contracted with them. They do have an entry level program designed for people who are looking for on the job training, verses paying thousands of dollars for a broad over view of the the industry and no job placement.

ive dealt with one horn transportation 1 time, it was the worst experience in my 22 years as a owner op. 45 days out . i still have not been paid, they say they advance and quickpay. i have done this for many years, i do not deal with any brokers who dont do advances and settle there quickpay with a tchek, comchek etc as final pay, they already charge enough for this service, much less when i call to get paid, im told they mail checks out. from my past experience this is usually signs of credit problems and cash flow issues, everyone there has selective memory, i was told it states this on my confirmation sheet, i read it thorough, there is no mention of this, also i picked a load up on a saturday which i booked on friday, on the confirmation sheet it does say any tcheks given out on weekends are subject to a $55 charge, i just assumed as mst people would, that only applies to someone who picks a load up on a thursday in california or somewhere, and waits till the weekend to get money on the weekend, who would think that applies to someone already scheduled to pick up on a weekend, i could go on and on about the details about this entire load, ive dealt with over 100 brokers in my trucking career, and my opinion this has been my worst experience, if anyone is interested, i will go into the full details of just how much worse this load became. and the rude people at long horn transportation i have encountered, although im not sure when or if i will ever get paid on that load. it paid $1100 and got a 400 advance along with 2 lumpers ,they advertise they give lumper money up front ? no they dont, i got the fuel advance and was charged a extra $10 per advance on 2 stops. theres still alot more BS i dealt with on this load, but the bottom line is. i was lied to and given false or at the minimum mistaken information about this load or i wouldnt have EVER agreed to haul this load....at that time there were really good paying loads in the area, but this one was going to a area to where i can make really good money, atleast the advance paid my fuel other than deadheading, but my personal advice, READ your broker and quick pay agreements thoroughly ,some of these brokers can be shifty and greedy, and if someone else in the area had a load and you trust them, go with the broker you know and trust, i lost $700 on this load. and i have a invoice from them saying they owe me $58 . i have proof, this is not false or misleading info, this is a 100% true statement, im not disgruntled, or just pissed off and picking at them , lol matter of fact i can tell you horror stoories with other brokers, but nothing that didnt work its self out, even if these people hand delivered me my money, its not the point, i know there are alot of you guys who cant afford a $700 loss, and i shouldnt have to jump through so many hoops just to get paid, trying to drive a truck and dispatch, isnt a easy task, its just a shame they can spend to much money pimping out there website, and can afford to pay that $75,000 bond they advertise. lol but wont pay quickly and accurately on loads they broker out , THE BOTTOM LINE IS, BE VERYYYYYYYYY CAREFUL when dealing with this company. hopefully they will read this post and start doing the right thing,
