I hear you Bro... my 1st ride out of training was a ProStar automatic with 85,000 miles...brand new. I loved that truck. I have the radar collision system but so far no issues, other than the occasional "beep beep" when a 4 wheeler passes on the right and then slows down.
Anyone hire on with navajo express recently? What's your experience?

I have been truck driving for 12 months and I love it. I started with CR England in February 2015. Now that I know what I know I wish that I took another route to get my CDL. CR England paid me .14 cents per mile and they put me under a contract which prevented me from getting another job while I was under their employment contract or I could buy them out of the contract by paying them the sum of $7,500. Needless to say I didn't have $7,500 laying around. So I stuck it out and fulfilled my contract over 9 months. I am OTR driving 48 states. When my contract was completed I quit the next Following day and joined Swit with no contract because I did not attend their school I worked for Swift for 3 months. Now I have 12 experience with a perfect drivingrecord I am now moving to a new company that pays .38 cents per mile. The good news is that with this company I only needed 3 months of experience to be hired. They allow me to have my pet on the truck with me if I choose. I will drive Western Regional with 14 days on and 3 days off. I think I will enjoy working for the new company. In fact I would like to bring along a rider for 14 days so the rider could see what trucking entails.Milkman719 Thanks this.

Nice quote witchinghour! I think im sold on Navajo. Just getting done school chopping at the bit to get started. Wanted to ask you whats up with the inverter situation? Really want to avoid the cost of eating out to much. And do you have any info on the percentage of drivers hitting the 11000 miles a month bonus. Thanks alot.
-
Only in a recruiters dream does that happen lol when I left I was doing dedicated amazon and there's no way that many miles a month happened. My best week there doing meat loads was 3300 miles but the normal week was 1900 to 2200. Well teams can do it I suppose but I wasn't teaming then or now.

Ok cool. Thank you. Is it really like that? I mean are these dispathers and recruiters all that ####ed up to lie to somebody like that? Dont they have any concern with constant turnover. Thanks again.

exactly very few dispatchers care about the drivers and recruiters get paid by the amount they recruit. so if a recruiter has to make stuff up to get a person in there they will in a second. And honestly turnover is not there concern. theres always gonna be a warm body coming in next weeks class.
born&raisedintheusa and Canned Spam Thank this. -
Thanks for the info. Alot to think about. Have you heard much about Covenant? They run mostly teams. I have a friend into maybe hooking up as a team. Alot of there threads are the same. Seems theres alot of dishonesty but the same folks complaining say they are getting boocoo miles. I dont know what to think lol

Need hazmat endorsement for Covenant teams.
Best team pay I know of is Old Dominion. They hire new cdl grads. @blairandgretchen can answer about Old Dominion pay. -
Great. Thanks for the info. Good luck and be safe.

No personal experience with covenant have a friend who started there but the whole forced teams thing made her leave and run solo. I know I can't run teams but it's an option for some.
