Doesn't sound like you're old enough...

You've barely obtained your permit for class c license and ALREADY want to jump to a CDL?

Stay in school/ go back to school, man.

Oh.. Well hell, thought you were a teenager.

I'd focus on perfecting your driving skills via 4 wheeler, first.
I'm guessin your dmv record is spotless.
A solid work history (last 3 years) and a clean backgroud should put you in the game.

    Good luck.

No problem being hired after completing CDL school.

This may work out better for you. No bad habits in the 4 wheeler. Just make sure you go to a good cdl school.

Not quite true. Having a CDL in your pocket won't matter if companies still want at least 3 years of driving history.

May be a little hard...like Ghost Ryder says....Even with a CDL school behind you zero driving experience could be a problem.

Swift will definitely hire you. Werner would probably give you a prehire letter which would enable you to get trained at a local school. There are a few other companies that may hire you as well. You need to make a few calls to see for yourself.

I called swift recently with the same question and was told that a person with less than a year of driving experience is hireable.

So you have atleast one option, a very bad option but an option nonetheless.
