You don't need a group 31. Any batteries will work.

You're not using them for the truck. You're using them for additional or sole power to ac.

The idea is to provide yourself with enough electricity to run the ac for a full 10. Not supply additional power for the starter motor.

The trucks alternator takes care of the charging of the batteries back up.

I finally got around to putting my upright in a permanent place.

I have a single hose ac unit. Figured out the hard way that it needs to drain while running when I'm in Texas. Otherwise it's just warm air. Don't know why the manual didn't specify this.

I have a box on my catwalk that keeps my gen. Haven't got around to cutting the box so for now I sit it on top and lock it to the support bar that goes to my exhaust stack.

Work in progress,so happy I went this route.

    SMH.

You DO understand that there are all sorts of things running around with battery packs. Correct? And they aren't the same as the vehicle. Correct? And that they're probably isolated or tied in to be used as a jumper should the need be. Correct? And that they also charge off the vehicle. Correct?

If grandpa can do it. It shouldn't be too difficult for anyone else.
