Does anyone know anything about airgas? They're a tanker company with several terminals in the midwest. I heard they pay REALLY well, but you know how it is.

I've worked for Airgas since 2000. Most of our tractors are day cabs and most of our drivers are home every night. I work in the mid-south region (OK, MO, KS, AR, and parts of LA and MS) and I'm one of the few OTR drivers we have. I can't speak for all regions but I'm happy with my job. Pay is on the high end and all of our expenses are paid. If you drive a tractor-trailer you'll most likely haul cylinders from one of our fill plants to our stores. Some of us haul bulk cryogenic liquids and gasses to our customers. Our safety record is very good and they try to hire the type driver that will keep it that way.
That's it in a nut shell and good luck!!Need4Speed Thanks this. -
Need4Speed and okcmike54 Thank this.

Hey Bduke!
I was gonna send you a private e-mail but it says I don't have enough posts to do that, dangit!!
I haul mostly bulk H2 in tube trailers and every once in a while I haul bulk liquid CO2. I prefer the H2 over the CO2. We have assigned tractors and the one I have now is a 2004 Columbia with a 60" sleeper. It's got 500,000 miles on it and I've had it since it was new. The replacement in a Cascadia with a 60" sleeper and it was already supposed to be here. I had my choice of a day cab or sleeper but I hate sleeping in motels,, LOL.. I'm out 3 or 4 nights a week and the H2 is delivered mostly to power-plants with 24 hr access for unloading. Here's my e-mail- okcmike54@aol.com.
