I know they do a lot of hand unload tire deliveries for Goodyear out of Akron. But that is more of a local gig, paid at around $20/hr. I doubt they give that to inexperienced drivers. Good luck, man. Ohio is a great place to be if you want to get into trucking.
Anyone know about company JRayl??

Lol its not that bad I actually worked in a tire warehouse as a temp & most of the time the driver had a helper tossing the tires out & when they didn't they sometimes did it them selves or paid us to start rolling them out. But hey you gotta start somewhere right..Tavonte Battles and Bob Dobalina Thank this.

I've hauled tires out of Nashville; it wasn't too bad. Those tractor-trailer tires going to Phoenix,AZ in the middle of summer wasn't even too bad. They didn't have a dock so the guy said just roll them out the back of the trailer and let them hit the ground and don't worry about it; we'll take it from there.

Years ago, I had a load of semi tire returns going to a Goodyear warehouse in Akron. Dispatcher says, after I get there, "Oh, BTW, it's driver assist". I was more than a little ticked.
But as it turned out, it wasn't that bad. The tires were in stacks about 8-9 high. I had to stand there with a bucket of lubricant, and spread it on the forks of the lift truck, so the guy could pull out from the stack, when he set them down. And I helped steady the stack, as he brought them out.
Made about $50.00 for about 2 hrs of that. -
Don't mean to hijack here but I'm in the akron canton area too. I'm currently working for Ferrellgas out of Strasburg but looking to get my class a. Currently have class b hazmat tanker. I've looked into big rig trucking school a little, seems ok, 4500 for 4-5 weeks I think. I'm also looking for a local gig that hires new cdl a holders.

Yea that's smart way , they we use to do them was all unloaded by hand the truck was stacked with thousands of tires and they were all rolled out by hand with about 4 guys working a in a line to get it done
