Anyone know about Radio Active Radios?

Thats when they do there best work, i understand. I connected a relay to the frequency selector for him so that it will not transmit on anything except for standard 11 meters, and it dead keys 3 watts and swings to 5 watts rms. Clean clear audio, but a wasye of his money IMHO.

Told him I'll pull the relay when he gets his amateur ticket. He can listen to all bands but it will only transmit on legal 11 meters.

 

I've had several radios from many shops. I can tell you that the Galaxy I have originally from Custom, had to be sent to Al to get it to sound proper. Not bashing anyone here, but it sounded really bad. So much for getting it done from a former employee...

 

JUST called micheal yesterday about a base radio he has had for eight months same as told me to quite calling about the radio it was not up to him as to when i would get my radio back it was up to the tech thats doing the work thats bullcrap i did not send my radio to just any tech i sent it to radioactiveradio and that is who i hold accountable just one excuse after another i may not ever get my radio back but a lesson learned done business with them for four years he has told that entergity always comes before profit with ra. but i beg to differ as of right now not a very happy with customer turn around around time sucks

I talked with Mikeal on the phone once and he sounded pretty arrogant. Maybe he was just having a bad day I dunno.

 

I bought a Gen.Lee from RAR a few years ago, it worked fine for a few years. I sent it in to have the power jack repaired because it kept cutting out. RAR has had it since the end of August, it's Dec. 11th. When I called and asked about it, I got a very rude and arrogant response from the guy like I'm an idiot for even thinking it should have been fixed by now. I told him to forget the repair and just send it back to me. that was 3 weeks ago... still no radio. I was concerned about opening the radio and voiding their so called "lifetime warranty". What a joke! I will never give them my business again!

 

Radio active does suck, but i say so for different reasons than others. Customer service is as bad as walmart. Ive had my general lee for 2 years now. Ive called many times and left messages asking for a return callsas i was having set up issues. In two years and with many months of gaps in between calls to be respectful and considerate, i have only received a single call back from this guy when i left him a different name. I sent photos of my set up, i asked for information as to if i. Bought the wrong attenea or if i just wasted $600 from this guy. He talked to me to make the sale and once the sale was made, that was it. Classic.

What competition does radio active participate in? When was the last competition? Any trophies? Does everyone who enters get a ribbon for participation? There are any photo galleries of any of said rewards?

I believe that saying that they are a competition radio radio builder is just a sales gimmic and ive been suckered like so many others. What a waste of time.

The problem is there is no regulation of radio repair no license required no training required
