Anyone know about Radio Active Radios?

I ordered a stryker 447 From Mike on the 2nd of March 2012.
I called left a msg and later Mike called me back.. We talked for a while about swr and he told me that swr meters on the radios dont work and when i checked my match i need to do it at the antenna not at the radio?

i have never done it this way..but i do know that my dosy meter and my radio swr meter show the same. my radio is a Galaxy dx 979.

After the debate with the" sanctimonious Mike" i placed my order he told me it would be rdy in 3 weeks.

3 weeks go by so i make a call and send a email. understand i prepaid for the radio and the super wack pack 2..to the tune of 309.24$..

week 4..i Called 5 or 6 times for status up dates and voice my concern about being clipped for 3 bones and not seeing a dam thing.


get a call back on my voice mail from Mike saying due to not having my last name or phone number he cant look up my order...WTF YOU JUST CALLED ME AND LEFT A MSG ON MY PHONE AND MY VOICE MAIL HAS MY LAST NAME ON IT?..Also he tells me that thay are running 3 days behind..well its 7 Mike!!! not 3


WEEK 5! i call RaR 7 to 10 times leaving msg after msg with my first ,last name phone # what radio i orderd and email... also tell him that at the end of the 5th week if i dont here from them..i will call my credit card and dispute the charge..

i get home on the 12 of April 41days after placing the order check my email and i got something from RAR..THIS IS WHAT IT SAID


"Description: Contacted customer about upgrading this unit due to defective stock. SR is attemping to correct the error, however. Customer is being issued 100% refund instead of upgrading due to a lack of anwswer via email with customer.

KIND OF FUNNY I GET THE FIRST EMAIL FROM THEM SAYING THAT THEY TOOK MY MONEY..AND THE LAST SAYING THEY GAVE IT BACK BUT NOTHING IN THE MIDDLE????

Could u shoot me the link where u saw it for 259? due to the fact i am still looking lol..my beef was not so mutch about the price but with the customer service..i understand to get a good cb 1 that sounds loud and clear...u got to pay. i have surched a lot places like ebay wants like 350 for them so let me know where i can get for under300 that would be realy cool thx

 

GI joe' is $259 and on back order. Copper electronics is $269 and have em in stock

 

I don't know much about Copper's radio work but they come through with stuff I need so that part of thier shop is great. Anyone here know about radio work there?

Unless things have changed in the past few years, their tune up is opening up the frequencies on export radios and clipping the limiter.I have no problem buying from there if the radio is new in the box and has not been across the "techs" bench.
