I searched all over the forum and couldn't find anything. I just got hired on with Central Refrigerated (swift) and Systems Transport said after 6 months experience they will hire me on for sure. I'm thinking they have to be better than swift but would appreciate some first or even second hand experiences. Thanks.

Thank you sir. After 6 months I would be interested in regional. OTR if I absolutely must so I'm open. I see that you work for them from your avatar. What is your honest opinion about them vs the major carrier (swift, werner, etc)?

System is the only company I've driven for at this point. The only comparison I can offer is the lack of horror stories you hear / read about System vs the majors.

There isn't a company out there that you won't find legitimate complaints about, but I've never been completely screwed around by the company or my DM like you see all the time with other companies.

On top of that, System runs decent equipment... new tractors and relatively new trailers, and they have a very good customer base.

The rest comes down to what your personal expectations are and whether those expectations are being met.

You'll make a lot more at Systems. They pay like 45 cpm I think. The one driver I talked to about it loved it because after 5 years there he gets six weeks off paid vacation each year. You should ask yourself if you would like to pull flatbed. That's a hole different question.

The vacation part is true, but the 47cpm is a pipe dream. Even when I'm Over 12' Wide I'm Only Getting 43.5 CPM
