I am glad someone here has a brain..And the ''lawsuits'' will be piling in...By the time they try to ''mandate'' it and make drivers comply,it may be overturned AND overruled....This is how Politicians ''make deals'' and the expense of the working man.It justify's there exsistence..It is all a dirty game that has nothing to do with ''SAFETY''..

This means nothing, doesn't mean it will be funded or implemented. Just like it took 10 years of fighting and court decisions back and forth and back and forth for the new HOS to be implemented which they finally were basically by force this EOBR or ELOG issue will IMO even be held up longer. The mega and larger carriers are going about it on their own simply to reduce liability and keep the DOT out of their offices as much as absolutely possible. Believe me if you are working for one these guys and have a bad accident and running EOBR they are gonna throw the driver to the wolves just as quick as a quick thinking no good lying lawyer can tear apart your paper logbook even though it might be absolutely perfect right right down to spelling and punctuation for the last 20 years. The only thing these companies care about is getting the liability load off of their backsides as much as possible. They all use the same excuse, well it's coming soon anyway, we may as well be "proactive".....it's all a load of crap!!
