I'm interested in a position with Jake Brake Transport in Vancouver. I was talking to another driver who says they pay 85% of the revenue from each load, mostly doing flatbed to Alberta.
Has anyone anything about them, or have any problems?
Thanks
Anyone know anything about Jake Brake Transport

Freight Rates from Vancouver to Alberta are very low in my opinion. 85% of FA is still FA.
Macneil Thanks this. -
When I first started working for the company I currently work for, we were getting loads from Jake Brake (Owner Friends)
It was garbage freight in my opinion. Mostly Dollar Tree (Hand bombing which they don't tell you until you get there), Safeway and other grocery stores. I did maybe 3-4 Jake Brake loads and deemed them garbage. I didn't know they have deck loads, why don't they ever call us on that #### -
I guess maybe as an o/o you wouldn't get that junk though, I would hope........

I've had a Dollar Tree load through Canada Cartage, can't recommend them. CC PROMISED that the pallet jack and a rail system would be in the trailer for unloading. They lied. Had to hand bomb the whole 53 ft with four different stops. Never again. Avoid like plague.

I've read somewhere -another forum maybe- that rates are up 5%+ so far this year. IYO how far do the BC/AB rates need to come up? PM if you don't want to hijack the thread.

Another lovely Jake Brake run is bringing an empty can up to Princeton Co Gen and loading up 26500kg of bulk wood pellets... Another crap shoot.
