I saw that they had posted an ad in CL for a local driver here in Chattanooga. It's a mon-fri hourly job getting trailers loaded and unloaded at local customers and getting/taking them from the local drop yard for their OTR drivers. Starts at $16 per hour.
In not really looking to move jobs but I check CL periodically just to see what's out there. I've never heard of this outfit and I def didn't know that they had enough customers here in Chatt to warrant a drop yard with a local driver. $16 sounds a little low, but the job sounds pretty easy. Essentially 7-5 mon-fri with all weekends off. Don't know if they pay OT for over-40 hrs.
Just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about the company. Also, if anyone in the Chatt area is looking for a local job, it's still up on CL.
Anyone know anything about Southern Freight, Inc of Atlanta, GA?

8thnote Thanks this. -
It sounds like an easy job, but I can't do $16/hr. That would be a major paycut for me. -
Yeah I was with Big G too,got tired of running northeast and getting jacked around on short hauls they day I was scheduled to go home, went back to a company I was with for 7 years from 1995 to 2002. When I left Big G I looked for local jobs in middle tennessee and they didn't pay worth a flip.
