Do the math, I bet you paid more than the truck was worth. When a dealership of any kind tell you their gonna make good on their word, then you shouldn't have to feel screwed after you leave.

Mitchtazz, kindly look to Wall Street and the investment bankers. It's called (toxic) greed. The only thing that will stop bandits is enforcement and education. I applaud the purveyors of this forum. They're helping w/ both by spreading the word and teaching the lessons. -
with 5 and 6 thousand down there are lots of deals out there. I just helped a friend get an 08 volvo with 500 grand but really clean 6 down and the bank financed the remaining 4 grand and his credit was terrible! private party truck heck he let me take it 1000 miles roundtrip as a test run. those so called rental outfits just want to get your money

A little of topic but thought I would ad my thoughts. I was also a struggling owner op wanting to get a newer truck. Couldnt get financed without 5k down. Well that would of depleted my bank account and gave me no emergency money. I started looking at private party trucks and found several guys local to me willing to carry a contract. You got to figure there truckers to and dont mind helping people out. Besides alot of back cant or wont finance truckers these days even with good credit. So anyone trying to buy or sell is in a tough spot. Just my thoughts it worked out great for me. However I didnt go looking at a new truck just found something I could afford and still make money. Also looked at repair cost of different models and years. To me older trucks are cheaper to work on and often I can fix my own issues. Not all the electonics on them to go wrong.
