See them around town but I don't know much about them. Try tcbx or another local.

I talked to Cleveland terminal. They have runs to NYC and Chi. Pays I think .95cpm. Didnt seem very appealing. They seemed disorganized.

I was going to say the same thing. It is $.03 more than we get now and I assume it is drop and hook. We end up pulling already loaded and tarped flats 80,000 gross but we get to untarp them and usually two loads a day. Get a kick out of guys that get a big rate and then take something so cheap on the way home it would have been cheaper to run home completely empty. No matter where I check this is the going rate in the Midwest anyway. I just wondered how stable a company they were and if they are loyal and keep you busy year around.

I work for an O/O that just recently leased to Towne Air Freight. Starting pay is .90 a mile plus fsc. Add .02 for Hazmatand .02 for a newer truck. Add .01 for each year you lease up to 5 years. My O/O received a $3000 sign on bonus (paid $1000 first trip then 90 and 180 days). Freight is usually light (25k or less), loaded and empty pays the same. Paid practical miles. I work out of Chicago. I may go to Memphis and return to Chicago the next day or go to Kansas City, take my break then live unload in Omaha and run empty back to Chicago. Non forced dispatch and good equipment. $2000 escrow, E-logs and quarterly inspections required. Week starts Sunday night and pay closes Saturday midnight. Dispatchers are very friendly. Expect 2200 - 2500 miles a week average. No touch freight. I hear teams run 5500 - 6000 miles a week. Right now I leave Chicago and return in a day or two, go home then run again that night or take a day or two off if I want. Recruiting was very honest, no surprises.

Towne Air Freight website lists tire and maintenance discounts but I haven't found anyone that knows anything about them. When I ask about the discounts I am asked where I got the Idea there are discounts. However there are supposed to be fuel discounts of .07 to .15 cents a gallon at Loves, T/A and Flying J. At the present time Pilot is not set up for any discounts.
