Been on work comp since February and making plans to return to work in about 4-5 weeks. When I went off on injury there was a truck shortage ... a bad shortage. Swift was cramming 3 people into trucks headed east and north to pick up abandoned trucks, damaged trucks, literally any truck that was road legal regardless of its age, mileage or condition.
Have things settled down now? I'm out of Mira Loma so if someone has a eye witness account of empty trucks in the yard I would appreciate it. Thanks to all and happy 4th
Anyone know the current empty truck status?

What is available now probably won't be in 4 to 5 weeks.

a truck shortage would mean more drivers then trucks. and i don't really think that's the case.
as you stated. they are picking up abandoned trucks. and that's not new news. it's been going on for years. and not just swift. ANY company will have abandoned trucks. (FOR THE MOST PART).Last edited: Jul 3, 2013

when I picked my truck back up yesterday morning in Mira Loma the lanes were full of trucks by the tree so im assuming right now there are plenty of trucks but like inkeeper said in 4-5 weeks who knows what will be there.
