Exactly. He is with Circle Logistics right now, yet another company with empty promises and bad attitudes. Still looking. We are not diluted. We know there is not a perfect company out there, but something has got to give!!Jonkie Thanks this.

Why did he stay if the money was not good?
I am leased to a company that primarily runs off the load boards and I refuse to run anything below $1.80mi unless its a last choice effort and happens to be a very light load.
I primarily run east of the Mississippi as well,.. and as I stated,.. running load board loads. Short hauls during the week for anything between $2.50 - $5mi,.. then a longer run for the weekend,.. more miles,.. but still usually over $2mi.
Last 2 runs I did,.. I left Deluth, Da to Jackson, Mn for $2.42 mi,.. then dead headed up to Glenwood and took a very light O/S load down home to Fla that after $300 in permits,.. came out to $2.97 mi.
So if your husband wasnt getting paid,.. perhaps he was being shafted on the line haul.
Why would he agree to run for the rate you say he ran at? If you guys were willing to operate at that rate,.. then you can only blame yourselves. No offense meant,.. but we all have options and choices.

I don't lease to these small fly by night outfits . Go with a major player ( not a mega ). I'm leased on to Fedex Custom Critical and no load is less than 1.65 a mile to the truckAtruckerswife02 Thanks this.

Post those 5 dollar a mile rates

You did not say he was pulling a Van. Yes,.. thats the rates I have heard from others as well. Load board rates.
I apologize as its difficult to tear myself away from thinking everyone pulls flatbed.
Still,.. you guys have the final say. If he signed up to forced dispatch,.. then thats what he will have to put up with. Loadboard loads are finicky at best when trying to find good rates.
I wish you guys luck, .. stand up to these carriers. My carrier gets twitchy every time I turn down a load.

Ok now those rates make sense
