That 10 speed wasn’t that bad because the Detroit had plenty of power We ran mostly mild flat land Midwest.

    Occasionally I longed for a 13

They were asking 59 for them a year ago when I left. This is a steal. Stumbled upon them researching gliders.

Tempted my self to buy 1-2. I know the maintenance was impeccable.

I’m going to be up that way in 3-5 days if anyone wants me to check one out for them.

They had 40-50 of them when I worked there.

I'm glad to be in oil country. Star cars are as popular as Peterbilt and Kenworth. Heck there's a trucking company next door to where I work with about 25 of them lol.

Not a fan of the setback axle Ride but they are a steal at that price.

A Peterbilt of that era they ask 90-120 thousand.

And closing the door on a Western is like closing a door on a Rolls Royce compared to a Peterbilt

The interiors of the Western is second to none.

I tried out a brand new Volvo last year. Loved the way it drove but it still had a stupid layout for living and cheap freight liner plastic cabinets in it.

Company around here that ran frac sand had a fleet of em. 36in coffin sleepers white with black stripes. Looked to be 250wb or so. Looked sharp with that big gap between the wagon
