I stay healthy by not taking convenient, individually packaged, nutrients and probiotics being peddled on the Internet by some unknown person belonging to a MLM scheme.

You should quit trucking and go into MLM sales.

I take 2 jump ropes (a speed rope and a 3-pounder), push-up handles, a pair of gymnastics rings and two dumb bells with 40 pounds worth of plates. The gym rings have a strap with an anchor that I can use to hang almost anywhere (a tree, flatbed rub rails, etc.). They're great for pull-ups and rows. I probably spent less than $90 for all these things. I also lay off the sweets and soda and usually only drink water, iced tea or coffee. Hard-boiled eggs, protein bars, oats/granola bars are daily staples.

    not4hire and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

That is awesome!! Sounds like a good exercise program you are doing. Seems to be pretty versatile too. Allows you to do a lot of different exercises. Does it work well for you? And you can’t really go wrong with that diet. Would be nice if you had a little more variety though.

I don’t drive all that much, usually just help a friend out when he needs help. But I will consider your recommendation. Thank you!!

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

That is great that you found something that works for you!!

I have success with what I am doing. Not about money. Really just trying to help others. I have a big heart, not as big as the maple leaf eh, but close!!

Yes..real food is great, but it won’t put your body into fat burn. That is why people have the problems they do, because real food tastes so good and most are not healthy for you.

That exercise equipment is all you really need. I also have a stretching strap and yoga mat. As for the food, I do mix in healthy fast food from Arby's, Wendy's or Subway. And I try to eat some fruit every day. The stuff I listed are just staples. But the MAIN thing is that I don't drink soda. I maybe have 6 cans of coke a YEAR! When I see those big hefty truckers come out of the Pilot with their gallon jug full of soda, I think to myself, "Dude, what the HELL are you doing to yourself?!" But to each his own.

I get my exercise in early in the morning or in the late afternoon when I get to the truckstop or rest area. The routine is usually a circuit of 4 or 5 exercises done non-stop at a high intensity. I do 5 circuits with a 2-minute rest between circuits. Then I'm off to the showers.
