If you dont believe in the police doing their job and or the company faking the gps, how does knowing the companys name change things?
Anyone recognize what company this truck belongs to?

Just for future knowledge... If you really want to find a company fast get a picture of their DOT# and truck #. This information is on both sides of the truck. DOT # will get you the company and the truck # will get you the driver (through the company that is)
Edit: and anyone with the internet can search a DOT # to find the companies corporate mailing address, and maybe a phone #.Last edited: Oct 21, 2018
boxerpupsrcool, Oxbow and bzinger Thank this. -
Another point. You have the plates so it might take the cops a day or two to find the truck, but it will be found who (at the very least) has insurance on it.
If the cops are being incompetent, simply go to a private detective and they have tools to find the owner. and you can file on their insurance that way. -
Contact Iowa DMV and ask if there is a way to find the owner of a hit and run. If not there should be a way to report it.

I have pictures of the guy that hit me. Trailer and license, DOT #, of the truck, company name, and of the driver.
It’s in court now. Guy still denies hitting me, then running to the other end of the lot to park, like nothing ever happened.
