I'm taking a load up to Billings and was wondering how US26 was as far as hills and stop-n-go lights? I'm going to be heavy, and it's only 50 miles longer to take 80 to Chyenne and then up, but was curious if it was worth it at all???
Anyone run US26 from NE to WY ???

Ok, that'd be the way to go. I'd probably pay KS their few bucks and run all the way to York, Ne. That's all 4 lane now. But 26 is the way to go.

You said you'd take I-35 to I-80? Out of route! At least take I-29! You could have taken US 75 up too, it's not too bad.
On I-29, get off on x 10 in Iowa. Head west to Lincoln. There are some lights, but you will come out to I-80 miles ahead. West from there to US 83 in North Platte, go north to US 26 and head out.
I used to deliver to the rail yard in Morrill NE. It's beautiful up there by Scottsbluff. There is a WY POE but it's small, no prepass, just one guy last I went thru there. -
What are you hauling?
