Hazmat catalyst in totes. I'm just trying to bypass any major hills if possible and taking some 2 lanes and seeing some scenery isn't bad at all. I've just heard that 25 from Chyenne to I-90 is a nasty streach of road, so I figured if I could bypass all that crap I would.
Anyone run US26 from NE to WY ???

Us 26 a few towns but you make good time. And you avoid the high wind area north of cheyenne. Run it all the time with gross 80000
SHC Thanks this. -
What about US83 out of North Platte up to I-90 in SD?? Might be a better route by looking at a topographic map

You can't really avoid the hard pulls going toBillings from the south, It's all between Buffalo and Billings. Not mountains, but a few good ridges to pull. The way you're going is by far the flattest profile route.
SHC Thanks this. -
About the same as 25. Not worth the extra two-lane.
SHC Thanks this. -
I25 from cheyenne to billings is flat with rolling hills. The nasty is the wind and blowing snow. There are no mountains to cross.
It is the high plains.SHC Thanks this. -
10-4 guys, so far the weather outlook is sunny and upper 40's so hopefully I will luck out and have a good ride. I'll be loaded with 47k on a flatbed with a flattop truck so the wind won't really be a problem unless I'm going at it head-on, then my MPG will take a HUGE crap!!!

US 26 is a good stretch of road. Much more scenic then I-25, which bores me to tears.SHC Thanks this. -
Then US26 it is. Thanks all

Sorry, hon. I guess I misunderstood you when you said I-35 to I-80 in your earlier post.
Hope you took I-35, I-135, US 81 to I 80. Happy trails!
