If the cost difference between tires was huge I would agree but they are not for me. I run 11r24.5 and Michelin is same price as Bridgestones and other brands are only $10-40 cheaper at most. I did steers couple months ago, Bridgestone 213 (top of the line) and Firestone 591 price difference was $17.
I’ve seen huge price differences for low pro 22.5 but in my case there isn’t.
Anyone seen this Michelin calculator?

Well considering that the XDN2 is hands down the worst mpg tire. Michelin makes doesn't seen to be a fair comparison....
Try the X-line energy d... -
X-line energy D is about the same as the Bridgestone m713. The x-line energy d+ though is literally about 20% better, but isn’t available in the 11r24.5 size that I need.
Now I just need some data to see how the x-line energy d wears and how long it lasts. -
It's all I run, and they wear about like anything else, 200 to 250K in my application.
What I like best about them is that they are very good on snow and ice.Tug Toy Thanks this. -
You always want a tire with low Rolling Resistance with these high fuel cost. When i first started i ran cheap tires and was lucky to get 150k out of tires.. Went back to Michelin tires and even after 200k they have PLENTY of life left in em.
