15 bucks plus the application fee.

It's when you get your CDL that the state really milks you... I had to renew my NC CDL in 2010... I dropped HAZMAT that year, but kept the tanker and doubles endorsements... that cost me $220 for an eight year license. Changing it over to a five year Colorado license after I moved was only $35.

Are they all five year licenses now, or is it still after a certain age where they do that?
I was grandfathered in before you had to go through the fingerprinting and TSA process to get a CDL, so if I'd kept hazmat, it would've been another $94 for an endorsement I just plain didn't use. -
it's after a certain age you move to a 5 year license. That was their plan all along to get everyone on a 5 year license...

Either way, a CDL is NC is a bit on the pricey side.
