Anyone use the APU Center in Missouri?

NO!!!! If you do that my AC on the Rigmaster will start up also. In your case it would work since your not going to have a compressor. I like the Rigmaster AC when it's really not hot enough to run the big unit. Most of the time it's to remove the humidity from the air.

 

A once a year service sounds amazing. Check on the 2005 or newer. Larger oil pan. Man this is good stuff.

Maybe I should just install the whole unit and rear thru the wall AC for extra hot days. Really just depends on how well the used hunt goes. I'd have a back up heater and AC at the least if I got the whole Rigmaster unit. I can't see the harm in backups.

 

They started out with Perkins motors, then started offering Cats. I don't know what @Skate-Board has. I wonder which one is better overall?

 

I have 14,668 hours on it. I'm at my truck right now......AND....running the Rigmaster AC. It's 60 degrees here but 95% humidity. It's a Perkins motor. The same motor that they install on large sail boats to both propel the boat, charge the batteries and 6,000 watts of power. It's pretty much a Rigmaster but laid out different.

 

Oh, and by the way. In almost all yachts and sail boats they have an Espar D2 in every cabin for heat.

 

Your candy arse is running that AC at 60 degrees? I'm kidding, I'd be doing the same if I had such luxeries. Plus that humidity can make things real uncomfortable.

Now to clarify, you will downgrade from the 15,000 BTU thru the wall unit to 12,000 BTU when it craps out on you? The idea being the 12,000 will actually cool a room down faster and more efficiently?

 

I wish he would update his website and provide prices of the used units. I'm going to book a load down there, then up to NE to that other place to get this sorted. If all goes well I'll get the inverter, fridge and microwave done this week. I feel bad yanking out that factory DC fridge but it's just too small. And the freezer is so tiny. Frozen food is really where its at. I love the Trader Joe's frozen food skillet meals. Yum.
