What does the first line on that document mean?

''Actual allowed weights may be less depending on vehicle ratings''.

The quote you quoted specifically said 105,000 on 5 axles, and this truck from post 1

Well, 1 that’s a milk truck which is held to different weight standards than most CMV in every state I am aware of.

    Overweight divisible blanket permits/
Tires are the most common issue, but the rest apply as well
Ie steer axle @22,400 you have to have tires that can accommodate that weight/
Or an under rated axle wouldn’t meet the required minimum for permitting/
Or springs rated less than the desired permitted weight

Same as non divisible weight permits generally are/

Also to consider is that a gross weight permit does not mean you can’t get an over axle ticket on a single or grouping/ even if you’re under your gross weight, same as any standard setup under 80k

That means if the axle and tire ratings don’t allow it then you can’t gross that much. Just guessing, but the truck pictured probably has 46k rears and hard telling what the trailer is rated at.

Edit: was typing at the same time.

Seriously, it's a pet peeve of mine that I should have faced a long, long time ago. And for that, I'm just a bit embarrassed.

OTOH, it's either one of the worst jokes known to man, or you're simply ignant when you spell it like that.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
