Hi! I'd sure like to get on board with them, but I have a problem. C.R. England lied about me on my DAC report, and I never made any $ with them. As a matter of fact I had a negitive income last year, and close to that the year before, no thanks to C.R. England. I'm very close to loseing my home because of them. Yes I have already applied with Joanne in recuriting.

If you read my other posts ty, but if not I will give the run down for this company in a nutshell. My husband drives but I am with him. I navigate. God bless Google and Mapquest lol.

1. This is what was said by Mr. Christner himself in my husband's orientation. Please don't be late for loads. The things he said he could understand what would cause you to be late is the bad weather and truck breakdown. But if you go to a casino or overslept or just like to hang out at truckstops then there would be a problem. Which is understandable. He commends the drivers who are always on time. He just commended a man a week ago for doing a million miles. Mr. Christner is more than a fair man. He backs his drivers up 100%. He sees you're doing a good job for him, he's there for his drivers. Thanks to the help of Mapquest and Google, hubby and I were never late. My hubby is a solo driver and this past load we were 16 hrs ahead of schedule and the load before that we were 24 hours ahead of schedule. Our DM saw that and said to us, "You guys are awesome." That's such a great feeling. My hubby was grinning from ear to ear on that one. We were no less than 4 hours ahead of schedule. You plan it just right and it can be done. JCT gives you enough time to get to the DO1 so there isn't no reason to be late.

2. Mr. Christner doesn't put with liars and neither does the staff. Please be honest with them. The staff are a great bunch of people. The planners see how you're running and if you're doing a great job, no sooner you drop a load you have another one when you do your macro 10 (empty call).

3. Tolls. JCT does have an IPass, EZPass, and PrePass. If perchance there isn't a toll one of those 3 covers, you send in a Macro requesting for toll and they send you an AR number for an EFS check so it can be covered. Mr. Christner doens't mind at all he said as long as it gets the job done. Just be sure to send in a toll receipt.

4. With JCT you can fuel up anywhere you want. If you need fuel and the only place is Joe Smith's little gas station on the corner you can fuel up there. If they don't take the Fuel Card, then it will come out of your pocket, but it beats calling Breakdown. Mr. Christner has an account with Flying J and if you fuel up there you get back either it's 2 cents a gallon or 2% a gallon. Not sure. We usually gas up at Loves for the fact of the points you get free showers and soda for the month. You get points at Flying J and TA too with their Road King card but I'm sure you knew that lol.

5. You do have a medical and dental plan with JCT haven't looked much into that yet.

6. Weekly deductions from your paycheck is as follows: 234.00 (under other deductions), your fuel and your truck payment. That's it. Mr. Christner pays for all highway/road taxes, permits, and the other whole nine yards.

7. If you request home time, just let your DM know two weeks ahead of time so they have time to plan. Same as if you want to take a couple of days off or time off, let them know two weeks ahead.

8. Some of the bennies with JCT is you get paid holidays. Every quarter if you don't have no accidents or traffic tickets you get a $900.00 bonus. If you conserve fuel you get a fuel bonus. If you recruit someone and they mention your name to the recruiter at JCT you get $1,250.00 which is paid in installments.

9. After orientation when you go and get your truck and it's not the one you want, just tell a man named John there what you want and you will be routed back to the Sapulpa, OK yard to get the truck you wanted in 90 days. I can't stress enough to get an APU on your truck because JCT does a lot of runs to California and there is a no idle law in that state. You get caught idling in that state and it's a nice fine, but I'm sure you knew that lol. We go back in 57 days to get our truck. The one we got now stinks. We want an International with an APU. The room in these Freighshakers stinks. You have to be twiggy to move in them.

Kinda funny I work at the WalMart DC and they are always late for their appts. There policy is if the driver is 10 minutes late they will be put at the end of the list. Some days you are looking at 50-60 appts in a 10 hr shift.

Thank you for the info runningonempty this is useful for everybody even 4 years ago since you wrote this....
But still doing the math...if you get $0.57 cpm. on fuel surcharge that means 0.57 times (mpg on your truck average mpg) then 0.57x6=3.42 so.....do they (I mean the Company) have a special diesel price? because if the average cost of diesel is about $3.6 per gallon it means that the operator needs to pay like arround $0.20 cents per gallon out of his/her pocket right?
Hope anybody help with this issue and THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS BLOG IS WONDERFULL.
PS: I already submitted an application with JTC but just for all the good things I did hear about them in this blog...hoping they take it because I have only 6 moths exp. on the road.

First, I am in total agreement with you 100%. I would please like you to visit this website. And here is the website:
. This is the Three Diamond Leasing website that JCT is in charge of. If you can't get it that way just go to Google.com and put in the keywords Three Diamond Leasing. If you look right under URL it will say Sales. You will see the amount of Mr. Christner's sales are a year. It ranges between $10 million and $50 million a year. I would love to tell OOIDA if Mr. Christner did not have a decent leasing plan, how could someone get their sales that high in a year. I don't know exactly when it happened it was some time ago, one of Mr. Christner's drivers got into a very serious accident killing someone. Mr. Christner was honest and settled it out of court and paid the family of the deceased $11 million for the settlement. I would love to tell OOIDA they are full of it if they even think that Mr. Christner's lease program is bull hockey. I personally know 2 of his drivers by name where one owns 2 of his trucks and is on his third and another owns one and is on his second. Mr. Christner is only helping these men to sublease these trucks so these men can make extra money and run their own little trucking company while still driving for JCT. As far as your escrow goes, that is automatically deducted out of your paycheck. That probably why it was dropped because that driver knew he had no claim to start with. As far as that driver claiming he was suppose to be getting $0.93 cpm is totally bogus. He knew he was wrong from jump street. This is how it was explained to Ed and I. You get $0.92 cpm. The way it works is it's $0.90 cpm for the mileage, $0.02 cpm for the gas so that makes it $0.92 cpm and then you get your fuel surcharge which right now is $0.57 cpm. So right now we're getting paid $1.49 cpm. And say the fuel surcharge goes up or down, they make the adjustments on the following paycheck. So the bottom line of it, OOIDA is full of it as far as Mr. Christner is concerned. And your right about another thing. I know personally a company driver who ran 2,500 miles. He only got $700.00 dollars. Ed and I ran 2,500 miles and we got paid $1,844.00. So gee OOIDA I have no idea what so ever why I wouldn't lease from Mr. Christner. Maybe it's the paycheck difference of $1,144.00 more in our pocket that might of cohersed me to do it? You know PawPaw, what are these people thinking? I would like to reiterate one thing you said. Credit is darn tight on anything big you want to buy and these lease programs are the only way to get our foot into the door of becoming O/O's. With anything you want to buy big now a days requires an act of congress. Shoot just to buy a home now you need 600 points if not better to acquire the mortgage. Just to rest anyone's mind. Mr. Christner is a very upholding citizen. He donates to the diabetes fund. Any O/O out here will tell you you work for JCT that is one of the top notched companies out here. To heck with the OOIDA on that one. I can guarantee they mess with Mr. Christner, and all his drivers will be standing right behind him for support and to help him. Even when they become O/O's from buying their trucks from Mr. Christner, they still stay with him. Like you said 4 claims aren't nothing out of the 25 years he's been in the industry. He himself still drives. We had the pleasure of meeting one of Mr. Christner's first drivers Houston Smith. You'll see his picture hanging up in the office. He's been driving for Mr. Christner now for 19 years. Mr. Christner used to be his dispatch at another company before Mr. Christner started JCT. And the staff is A-1. I would definitely come to JCT if I was you. To me they're number one. And that's from doing research on the web. So my 2 cents, to heck with the OOIDA. Unless they actually been in our shoes, they should keep their mouths shut. Btw we just got our permanent DM and he all ready gave us our very first load assignment for 2,365 miles. Sweeeet!! And hubby's solo too! Well now you know a little background on JCT I hoped it help. Take care PawPaw and be safe out there.

If the fsc was $.57cpm, then yes you would pay approximately $.20/gal for fuel on the current cost/gal. Realistically, you are never going to get a fsc that high unless fuel gets in the $5/gal range. Right now, our fsc is .40cpm. If you want JCT to pay for your fuel, you are going to have to average 8.6mpgs regardless of cost of fuel or fsc (since they follow each other.) Anything less than 8.6, and you're paying for it.

Also, fuel doesn't come out of our pocket per se. We have a fuel card to purchase fuel with. It is then deducted from our settlement. Man if I had to pay for my fuel out of pocket...the First time Mamma saw that $800 fuel bill on the bank statement...well, needless to say, but I wouldn't be driving a truck anymore.

I am applying with JTC hoping to find a place with them but just because all the good comments I did read in here.
Does anybody can disclose any details about the hiring process? I have 7 months driving a OTR on a refer but I would like to be an O/O someday (hope not so far).
How fair are the leasing conditions with RTC? does anybody has any numbers to share?
I promise I am going to keep this post with my own experiences hoping to be useful for others.
