I was a lease operator with JCT(10/10 thru 03/12) and I must say that I really enjoyed the company. I made money with JCT. When i went to JCT I went there to make enough money to buy my own truck and TRL and in a year and some change I did just that. Now i have own authority and i'm on my own. I even haul some of his loads from his broker side from time to time...Yes there was a few times when things went wrong, well hell we dont live in a perfect world. When I was in orientation I was asked, what would make me stay with the company. My answer was honesty. Then i was asked how much money i need to make a week... I said $750 take home. I must say the only time i didn't make that was when i took my home time and only six other times my entire stay with the company.... I give john thumbs up!

The only thing I know is that Angela has my application cause Christina is on vacations....any suggestion?

I have been trucking for 26 years 14 of that being with my own authority. They have cleared me for a lease purchase. It's hard now days to make it on your own. I use to haul through there brokerage back in the early 2000. It's good to hear good things from true truckers. I am thinking about starting around sept 1st.

I am a wife of a JCT driver and my husband has run at the lowest gas prices, low speed and on time.... averaging over 2000 miles/ week and hasn't received but $350 this past month for alot of hard work... and they want to say its because fuel costs went up. Needless to say, We are not very happy with them because I am getting ready to move and was planning on being dependent on his pay until I finish school. Now I have to change my plans for school, the move and look for another job instead. It has set us back 4200 from what he should have earned. We are paying the difference in fuel from what they said so don't believe everything you read above. I ran their calculations for all of the charges, ran a spreadsheet to estimate them and the first two months they were right on, and now for some strange reason - he is doing more miles and the pay has stopped. Why work so hard and not get paid - just doesn't make sense. I reviewed the fuel articles with the industry and it's disturbing and JC is letting the drivers take the heat instead of his company because fuel prices just went up. We cannot depend on them. They have a handful of excuses ready to explain why you did not get paid. They want to tell you that it will get better but that's what all of the companies are saying because they can't predict fuel prices. They cannot or will not affect charging the customer the difference to keep a competitive enough price AND pay you. Consider it carefully. You can only make enough to feed the driver.
