How many times have you tried to push the clutch in or when coming to a stop run your foot thru the floor board?

Lol...every time I go to slowdown or stop I press the imaginary clutch and I reach for the imaginary shifter ....but the automatic is great so far

That is the fallback on an auto compared to a 10 speed is reaching for the shifter or pushing the clutch that is not there. Are you enjoying it over there?

I enjoyed my time at JCT. I was able to pay off over $40,000 in debt in just under 2 years there.

I was not a truckstop warrior, I averaged in 2011 about 423 miles a day (that included all my home time days too)

All the dispatchers that I have talked to were not only respectful but downright friendly. As for the miles they pay .90cpm all miles dispatched. you also get FSC which at this time is .44cpm.

The flat weekly cost is now $337 with a 2014 Cascadia. This is what you owe if you don't run that week.

    hello runningonempty,

my hubby is thinking on coming to JCT he did have a very bad experience with another co last year no names to say. He for the most part ran his you know what off but did not get good dm and no checks when i say no checks I mean no ZERO in the red. He only did the lease for 5 month then went to work for a co as a driver and not making no money maybe take home 500-600 a week, So my question is on JCT if he was and he can do lets say 2900-3000 a week in miles are the miles there? or do the dm say oh no miles this week and only run 1500. I want him to not fail in in a lease and he works very hard just hate to have him run his you know what off and not get a dime. The only big check he got with this other co was 1800 the rest of the weeks I can tell you there was every month two pay checks with zero then he would have a negative to pay back the next week. We were always in the red week by week then maybe the 3rd pay check just barley enough to pay our bills. I do see a lot of positive post and there are negative on here to. I would like upfront honest answers. How are the DM. What is an average week of miles and take home pay for a solo man to drive say 2800-3100 a week minus all the fuel and payment for truck. IF he can bring home each week a net check of 1100-1300 then JCT the way to go. Thanks for any input. We need to sit down and make a decision.
