question is whether spending over 60K on a 20 year old truck is justified, how much risk is involved, how much longer it will last, how many more inflames can be done to it, parts availability or even know-how. Are these newer trucks with 400 - 500k miles for 50K so mechanically impaired in comparison to 20 year old clunkers? Is there so little value left in them? The emission system shortens the life of the new engines by at least 1/3 before inframe, but still EFS/DPFs can be redone for up to 10k as new, then you'll do inframe at 800-900K. I am not sure what's better. -
Anyone else noticed all of these 15+ year old large cars that somehow only managed to rack up 200k original miles or less popping up for sale. Been seeing quite a few lately where they are asking north of $100k. I'm sure there is a few legit ones out there but it makes you wonder.
