Old school will get you home in a pinch. Many moons ago my dad had a hot bc4 315 (cpl838) with fuel bumped to her and he burned a hole thru a piston. Luckily he was mt and close to home. Got it home and rebuilt the next week. Good old 9670
Anything new no way Jose your on a hook. My dad paid 22k for his 93 ch. 900,000 mi and she's cleaner than most 5 year old shakers or corn huskers
Anyone who why older trucks are costing soo much?

The last back yard overhaul on a e6 my dad did he tried ordering over-size brgs and the old duffer at the counter said mic it 1st and then come back. Sure enough at 2m miles it was still in standard specs.
Them old big cams with the Brazil metal 400k was standard 250-3 if she was bumbed up. My dad went threw his 3 times and the last time he emry clothed the crank and that went down the road soon after.
Try lugging a big cam and see how it treats you. 14L vs 11L e6 maxidyne the mack would pull 1100 all day and you'd have a melted piston if you tried it.
Mack may not be the quickest but they run and run and run. Don't worry about plugging em in if its -10 shell still spit and sputter but it will pop off and mellow right out. Meanwhile the macks are towing all the others up and down the street trying to start em -
Sitting here debating either to inframe it or get another truck.jamespmack Thanks this. -
