Anyone with JB Hunt have a route that allows them to bring a passenger along?

I have a nice dedicated route out of Terrel Texas at the moment but the only problem is that the rider policy does not allow for anyone else to be in the truck with me. My wife has been complaining once in a while that she wishes she could come along with me.

I was just wondering if it was different for anyone else working for jb hunt. I like the route a lot and would not likely change just for that one reason alone. Just wondering though.

That "no rider" rule was probably the handiwork of the insurance company for that particular route.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Insurance companies do not insure by route.......JB is probably self insured up to a certain level (2-5 million) then an insurance company kicks in.
The no rider clause is probably company wide or since you are dedicated may be a customer requirement.

I drive for JB and we do allow authorized passengers. I believe it is 12 years and up.

That particular dedicated account might have restrictions that supercede company policy.

I was told at my general orientation that included all types of JB'ers that anyone could take a rider with the proper documentation.

It's probably the shipper or receiver on the OP's dedicated route that prohibits a rider.

it is the customers choice, if your on intermodal rail yards do not allow riders on their lots, according to their rules but I know you an get them in there. The account I am on is at customers request because of hauling hazmat and we fly around also.
