Hi logisticlymissplaced, I can't offer much, but that name goes way back. When I worked for a trucking company back in the late '70's, early '80's, they had an account in Cookeville, Tn. and they would use Danny Herman for back hauls to get back up north. Companies that have been around for 40 years, I've found, are usually doing something right, or they go under. Good luck.

I've been here two months. My brother has been here 2 years.

All three trucks I have driven 12, 14, and my current 15 run 67 on cruise.
I run a mini cooler fridge. I leave the table out and slide the fridge under it.

Break down pay is the best in the industry. Your paid 600 a day solo and 1k a day team if laid up for more then a day...each day.
Home time has its rules. If your running had and putting mies in no on says hey, you were home 5 days after being out 3 weeks. They don't care. I'm sure people not putting in miles might have it a bit different.
They fix problems often and oroactively to not have a break down later.
You have your normal fuel stops however they I'll turn your fuel card on for any fuel stop just by calling... No questions asked.
They allow a truck and trailer wash every other week and demand it washed before entering Ca. They hate Ca with a passion. They don't want you fueling in Ca if you can help it.

Shipping lanes are mostly south. You don't carry chainsnon your truck. If the weather gets that bad they want you to stop.Danny Herman was a drier and understood crappy weather sucks. He didn't like driving in it and doesn't expect his drivers to either.

In 2 months I've never wired for a load and in 2 years my brother has not either. Most wait time is 15 hours, say deliver at 5pm and you have a morning pick up. Never an extended wait for loads.

My take home is far more then a lot of people talk about on here. There binu program is obtainable. My brother has never missed their mileage, fuel, and safe driving bonuses. Every three months is about $5k in bonuses. This is on top of my $1k a week take home.
