I worked for Celadon for approximately 3 months. They were an ok company to work for, howeverI didn'tgetnearly the miles that I thought that I would. I was hoping for about 3000, but all I got was about 1800 a week. If it wasn't for my dm(driver manager) I probably would have left way before, but she did her best. The company is so big that no one really knows what the other person is doing. I guess that's typical for a company that size.
Actually if he is in one of are Prostars or Volvos, it only takes 30 seconds to remove the quater panel and 30 seconds to replace them. All the have is a little lever that you release. A 5 yr old could do it.
I worked at Celadon for 3 months. When I quit they tried to use gps to find my home location. Which is where I had the truck. Even after giving them my address multiple times and with them using gps. They still sent the recovery driver to the wrong state and address.
If you are self-sufficient, handle your own business, can do your job without having to have your hand held every inch of the way, then it is probably the best company to work for anywhere. I've been here 6+ years. They send you a load, either you have the hours or you don't. Get your own directions together, plan your fueling and where you'll sleep. Send them a quick Qualcom msg. when you are delayed. Most importantly: update your eta/pta, maybe I've just been lucky, but it seems that if you keep them up-to-date on when and where you'll be empty you never have to sit very long.
