Because controlling the speed in a big truck is a lot more difficult than varying your speed in a four-wheeled vehicle. Cars can quickly accelerate and stop on a dime if they have to. Trucks, forget it!

I thought it was just a decoration. LOL.

You know that button beside the "Reply With Quote" button... Click that to all the posts you want to quote then reply to all those quotes at the same time. After all of the posts you want to reply to are selected just click the "Reply to Thread" button and all the posts you want quoted will be in there.
There isn't a reason you should be replying to the same thread multiple times in a row
.

Give trucks LOTS OF ROOM! Do not tail gate us, do not drive side by side... if you need to pass, do it quickly and go away. Don't keep your high beams on while passing us. Be aware of your surroundings when you are driving, make sure all your lights are working properly and use your turning signal whenever you intend to change lanes or when you fix to exit hwy. Don't drive below the speed limit in the left lane. When entering hwy, make sure there's enough room for you and adjust your speed accordingly. Always keep safe distance from trucks in front or behind you. I really wish driving schools would teach folks how to share the road with big trucks and amateur drivers had to go through a strict written and road test every few years when renewing their driver's licenses. And maybe if the severity of their tickets and warnings were raised, they would be more careful.... just saying....Four wheels, JBMN and DrtyDiesel Thank this.

If you're gonna pull out in front of me, make sure you leave enough space between your rear end and my front end. I really don't want to hit you and I don't want to have to hit my brakes and slow down even more than my governed 63 mph.
**LOOK** when you are merging from an on-ramp! I will do my best to change lanes or make space for you if I can, but sometimes I can't and you can adjust your car merge FAR easier than I can in a huge truck!
Don't loiter in the left lane next to me if you see my blinker's on - step on it and pass me or hit the brakes and move behind me. If there's a cop up ahead on the side of the road, I HAVE to get over to give him space.
Let your kids know if we don't blow the air horn for them it's not cuz we don't wanna. Sometimes company policy forbids it, and it can startle other drivers.
Above all else, remember we are humans too and we're looking out for the lives of all you 4-wheelers - it's our PROFESSION to drive, and we take it seriously. -
I love it when ya'll complain about trucks merging. Do you think we have a jet engine in our trailer?!? Getting 40 tons up to speed takes some time! Duh! How can people NOT understand basic physics?

I hate it when 4 wheelers jump in front of me ("OMG We've got to get in front of that big fat slow truck") only to do 10 under the speed limit.
(or for that matter,,, the speed limit
)
