2008 Cascadia with a DD15, stop engine light, regen blinking, so stopped to do a regen this is the first parked one I've had to do. Well it's been doing it for like hours, no sign of stopping, clearly there is an issue. It's going into regen mode, idle bumps up like it's supposed to it just never freaking comes out of it. When I stop it myself it goes right back to stop engine blinking and regen light.

Sounds like maybe a bad pressure differential sensor.

I don't think the DD15 was available until 2010 and it came with SCR and not DPF. I have an '08 Cascadia and it is equipped with S60 14 Ltr 515 HP with DPF. The filter needs to be cleaned and tested every 375K. The regen system is an integral part of that system. My next new truck will be a glider kit with pre-EGR engine.

I don't know about the DD series, but with Cummins and Maxxforce(roll my eyes), once you get a stop engine light, this means you are at level 4 plugging severity which is the worst and must be dealt with only by tech with a computer. Driver initiated regens do nothing.

It is a DD15 and it is an 08 so you're wrong completely.

I stand corrected sir. Think you might use a little tact next time? So what is better, DPF or SCR?

Pretty sure all SCR Engines have a DPF also.
