I'm afraid I already know the answer but here goes ....
I bought a KW T600 on a W9 wheelbase and I'm beginning to regret it. It rides great and handles weight well but it turns like a truck !!! Any way to help the turning radius ??

On my Truck I try to run most of the time with my Fifth wheel just a bit closer to my forward Drives than my Rear Drive, But it is just far enough that the Trailer doesn't hit my sleeper when I turn all the way either way. and If I have to move more weight over the steer tires I tape a note to my Steering wheel reminding me not to turn to tight while it is forward.

This has been posted before with a new truck. I thought he should check his steering stops. Many new and old trucks have never been adjusted. Good luck and safe trucking.

    2004 W900,
I found it helps if you jump out the truck, run to the rear of trailer, do a weightlifter squat, grab the DOT bumper, take a DEEP breath, lift, and walk in the opposite direction you want to turn.

Seriously, I screwed my set stops in to the point that my left steer rubs HARD on the steerbox arm; not much help really.
This truck turns tighter to the right.
My '01 turned tighter to the left.
My '96 turned tighter to the right..... What gives KW?

There is a way to adjust some steerboxes, but a former company that I used to work for allowed the wrenches to adjust some of their T-800s that were in the oilfield. Frames began cracking at the steerbox area, and the truck gods found that said boxes had been adjusted.
    Bye- bye warranty....

Same here droy, adjusted mine as far as they would do to the point where the tire rubs on the box and still takes 100 acres to turn.... That and my 290" wb dont help.

Kenworth dealer strongly advises against it so I guess some of these off the suggestions may be appropriate !!! I'll just keep my eyes open for a football field. !!!!
