Thanks, Chinatown! Since I started school, I've put in over 30 applications. I applied to both Lee & Eastes and Space Age Fuel but haven't heard back from them. Fuel wise I heard back from World Fuel Services and Bretthauer Oil Company, both sounded like really good gigs driving Tanker Wagon, but I haven't heard further from them. I've applied to many LTL companies and have heard back from Central Transport, Reddaway, and XPO. CT even said they might consider a recent grad for Linehaul in Portland because they need them so bad. Reddaway said I'd need 1 yr experience before they'd hire me for a Class A gig but that they'd consider me for a straight-truck gig, and I said no thanks. XPO sounds good and I'll be interviewing with the Service Center Manager this coming Tuesday in Eugene, OR for a Driver position.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Oh, and BTW, I passed my driving test at DMV this morning! And was issued my interim paper class A CDL with X and T endorsements with no automatic/air-brakes restrictions!

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Bretthauer is here in Hillsboro. They have nice equipment. Most fuel haulers around here have cameras in the trucks. You might give Carson a look. They make 90-100 a year. Idk if they hire students though. I do know the Superior tank lines start out at like $27 an hour and have really nice trucks. They run all local mostly. Cameras in the trucks, but also a good place to start in the fuel and hazmat world

Their HQ is there but the position I interviewed for is based outta Newburg.

Superior looks like one of the best gigs around. I wanted to apply there but they require 15 months tractor-trailer experience, although they’ll train for tanker after that.

I haven’t heard of Carson but I’ll definitely look into them. I appreciate the suggestions, thank you!
