Think they should make you guys cross into Canada while with a trainer. My first trip sucked because I didn't know what to look out for. Not that it was horrible tho I spent 8 hrs waiting for permission to cross at customs. The shipper did not fax all the paperwork, but tols me it was... lol learned alot after that. Now I'm thru there everyday and its pretty smooth.

No one would train if we had to go into Canada every time we had a student. lol. I have never been there.
-
Coming to pick me up? Ok maybe not but I guess there might be a trainer coming across to Jacksonville soon but we'll see..
-
Hey I lived in Jax...in fact my car is still in the Drop Yard...(probably covered in dust by now)....
-
Yes. Read all you can in the Roehl forum on here and you will learn pretty much all you could possible want to know.
-
Yeah I'm gonna throw a cover on mine. My paint job is already wearing away from too much sun. Hoping to use Jax as homebase for a little while.
-

Well I had a few loose ends but at the last minute everything seemed to come together. Got my permit, but in North Carolina they give you a paper license and mail you the original. Suppose to take 7 to 10 days. Received it in the mail this morning. Had a couple family emergencies come up so that took a lot of my cash and was short. Got paid this morning my last check from my job and what do you know...they added a bonus on there! So now I have enough money plus a little extra in my pockets. finished everything up with the military, for now at least, have 3 days of drill as soon as i come back from WI that kinda sucks. and my car is good to go.
Sorry bout jumping in, was going to start a new thread but figured there was already a couple for Roehl so people wouldnt really want to read another. Though, i will add some bits and pieces every now and again. Gonna rest up so i can leave tomorrow night for my couple day trip out. Wish me luck, any last minute words of advice?
Thanks for all the answers and tips! Helped alot.
