Yeah that Dales place I believe had mixed reviews as thats why I didn't go there. Plus returning to Springfield or Joplin, wherever it was, would've been a nightmare as I hadn't ran that area in years.....
    JonJon78 and bzinger Thank this.

I think they used to operate under a different name but their reviews were in the toilet, so I guess they rebranded and maybe reincorporated, and maybe decided to turn up their warranty coverage a notch.
JonJon78, bzinger and nikmirbre Thank this.

Just had my Dynasys fixed this morning. After 4 years the engine mount bracket cracked from rust. Sounds like a new apu again, I'm guessing it had a crack in it for awhile with how it rattled so much. Had an aluminum condenser cover installed too while I was there.

RubyEagle, msh, slow.rider and 2 others Thank this.

I just placed an order for a new Tripac diesel, and it is expected to arrive around November. You may have trouble just 'buying' one off the shelf right now. The price including installation, with an 1,800 watt inverter and the arctic upgrade options, was $13,200.

A couple of things I can say is that I really didn't like the looks (nor the price) of the CARB compliant Particulate Filters on either the Thermo King or the Carrier APU. So I'll just be taking my chances on getting fined in California. The Thermo King has the better AC and heating unit, but because the AC compressor is motor driven, installing a shorepower connection is not a viable option. The Carrier, however, has fully electric AC - so it can be fitted for shorepower. But it has electric heat as well, which in my opinion is dumb. It's bad enough to have to leave an APU running to get AC, but to have to do it for heat, too? When units like the Espar Heater are available? I can't understand that design decision by Carrier.
    msh and bzinger Thank this.

I don't get that either but pretty easy to just add an Espar and run it separate. Not cheap but easy.

I've been thinking about this for awhile. I'd love to get some feedback. We know mini splits are working for people and Espar/Webasto have been providing the heat side reliably for years. Why not go for an Onan/Cummins/Kohler diesel RV generator for power instead? Generator for batteries and shore power, mini split for AC, Espar for heat.

I've never seen or heard of this done and I'm curious why. They aren't cheap but I would think they were a solid product.
