Contact a Thermo-King dealer, they sell the Tri-Pac.

 

Don't buy a thermo king there junk in my opinion. You can read all about in the APu thread.

 

That has to be the best investment an owner operator can make,
saves fuel, allows a real fridge, microwave, etc, just the money you'd save in food is worth the initial investment ..

 

I agree it's a good investment as long as its not TK.

There is a place in New Braunfels, Tx. that sells, installs, and finances different brands of apu's... It is called Big Rig accessories I think. They have another location, but I don't remember where it is.

 

i have seen some drivers with a small generator welded to the catwalk. i guess it serves the same basic principle, but the APU starts and stops on its own and also charges the batteries. i guess you could call it a poor mans APU. it would still do no good to run an AC or heater.

trans am has tripack installed in over 1300 trucks must be real garbage. one upside to the tripack is there are lots of thermo king dealers to get service done
