Fair enough, but going from matte black on top of my truck to a gray rattle can primer dropped temp in my truck during 90 degree sunny weather 10 degrees, (110 down to 100 with windows open) i likely have garbage insulation in this old thing, but adding a black panel on top... (especially with adhesive) not loving it. I HAVE toyed with the idea of having a fixed essentially spoiler that allows air underneath it to flow so the sun doesnt hit the top of the cab itself, and a fixed solar panel isnt the worst thing to BE that panel, but thats a bit down the list of must-dos with the truck, especially since id then have to make sure i didnt lose mpg from orientation and that its strong enough to not tear off...
These and Onan diesel gens seems to have less issues than traditional truck APUs. Maybe it is the space to breath or whatever. I don’t know. Plug it is a bit more power for big bunk trucks. looking forward to seeing how your unit your installing turns out. Looks good so far.
sorry, I don’t. I just had them put the package on when we specced the truck with the fridge and inverter, and the software automatically upgraded the alternator.
Whats a house's ac runtime? Youre comparing apples and oranges, sure your diesel generator is nice, ive got one of those, its called an engine. Its still powering something else, will THAT last 50 k?
You and me both, did too much yesterday, been running all over pickup/deliver etc today, no time and now no energy.
thermoking panels are encased in indestructible UV proof thick plastic with a 5 year warranty, I get a constant 12.6v from good parking lot lights at night, 13.6v from the sun. when the weather is good between summer and winter I can boondock for a week straight with all the hotel loads I want laptop/kettle/hot plate/lights without even needing to start the APU
