The FAA act of 1994 exempts interstate transportation workers from forced arbitration clauses. This recently came up in regards to SWIFT's "independent" contractors:

The reason I post is because #### near every contract I signed over the last few years had an arbitration clause -- and I think even an independent (own authority) could use the faa act of 1994 to go straight to the courts should a dispute arise.
Arbitration clauses might not be enforceable
