How is that going? Do you have perks that others wouldn't if your paid base?
Like do they pay your fuel or discount it greatly, ez pass, pre pass, 2290, tags and plates, permits, maintenance discounts, etc. Thanks too.

Most people seem to like percentage but I don’t see what’s wrong with a rate per hub mile on all miles and everything paid for except discounted fuel, plate and collision insurance. I think that setup is a good deal but doesn’t seem to get much attention.

    Shotgun94 Thanks this.

Most of these set ups that I saw, offered something like 1.10 per mile + Fuel Surcharge which is $0.35 today (?) and they force - dispatch you. I never found it very attractive.
Even those megas who call and solicit for Power Only with own authority, they want you to do it for 1.50 per mile and force-dispatch too. JB Hunt, Schneider, PAM ..... Some go for it.

Yeah that wouldn’t work. I agree you do see a lot of guys going for this. Not to mention dead head doesn’t get any fsc.

The program I saw was 1.70/mi loaded or empty but needed haz endorsement.

Trailer, ifta, ELD, prepass, ezpass, discounted fuel, liabaility insurance, and prob more all taken care of. Load booking, dispatch, billing, etc all handled too. Only thing you had to pay for was plate, collision insurance, and your fuel was deducted from your settlement. It was forced dispatch though unless time off was requested. I kinda get it though since all expenses are covered, if the trucks not moving the company is out money.

For a guy that wants to buy a truck, not have all the head aches and overhead. It might just work.

The percentage deals are good but with the deductions and being dependent on the company to book well paying loads, it seems a little more risky.

    TallJoe and Shotgun94 Thank this.
