My hubby has been out OTR now for the last 2 years and at first it is an adjustment but hobbies, friends, family and a great cell phone help with that!...LOL.

Its not hard to get into the routine but it does take the commitment of BOTH people to make it work. Have her join us here and she can gets lots of good info and find out for herself what the OTR lifestyle is all about....EVERYONE is welcome here!

    Doesn't bother me a bit!

Iam to busy to think about it.

If you have things to do with your time, the time seems to go faster.

My husband used to be gone for 3 weeks at a time but is now on a bid run which is different and get's home every week.

But still that is time away from home.

I Miss him as Iam sure he would like to be home, but trucking is our life. IN one way or another.

Donf worry driver. All the wives are in good hands ! Keep on driving fella. And remember to call at least 24 hours before coming home. Don't just show up unannounced

It's tough on some wives on other it is easier. If she has friends and stuff to do it will be fine...if she is like my wife which I am her only friend and person to talk to....I'd reconsider.

... and if Swift is still trying to back out of your driveway after 24 hours then all bets are off.

That slow Swift driver must have been late and all the big hooded trucks got to park along side the curbs.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
