Are city owned trucks exempt from hos?

    Hmm, wonder what that means for drivers working as I/C for government agencies. Guessing that the rule applies only for direct employess of a government agency?

    Yes, you have to work as an employee for the government agency. I/C's are not exempt.

    Independant contractors are just that. I get that all the time from the private carriers that are hauling US Mail. Sadly mstaken. These guys think they can do whatever and they are untouchable. A few of these guys have learned the lesson via the hard way.
