Do they also tell you the US Marshall's office will go and put a beatdown on the State boys for giving you an overweight ticket? It's bs. I mean first of all how will they know where you went? (unless you only applied to one place (Employment history check)) Also what would allow them to sue (and not be laughed out of court?) All that contract for school is is a credit card, or government backed educational loan. There is a non-monertery repayment option sure, but there is also a monetary one. Just move on if you want, but be aware you might owe part, or all of the loan back.

State paid (97) for my driving school. Co. tried collecting when I left and I told them along with the state that I would still be there if I was making more than 200 per week. State nor I have not heard back from them since. They told us all that line of BS then. Told them that there was not a judge in the world that would side with them to keep me in the poor house. I was making more on Unemployment at the time and home every night.

I left my company under contract. Drove for them 6 months. I talked to US Express about a job yesterday, and they said the company I worked for isn't gonna release any information on my employment or schooling with them. Said I should call and make payment plans with them. But I don't have the money to do any payment plan without being able to work.

At Swift we have a website you can log into and it shows all your miles you have driven, trips, safety score, utilization info etc.

If necessary, I also have every BOL for every load I haven't tcalled, along with receipts and scale tickets etc. for every load.

Not an issue because I bought out my contract and I'm happy with the company, but all you really need is to request 6 months worth of logs from your company, which they are REQUIRED to maintain by law, and are required to give upon request.

Why don't you try keeping your word and paying your debts. You signed a contract saying you accepted training for free in turn you promised to work a year seriously you couldn't make it for a year.If I was a hiring manager I wouldn't hire you just based on you seem to have a morale and immature problem.Dont know who you were with but the next job you find with only 6 months experience isn't going to be any better just different color truck

Don't know for sure what the OP signed but I've never heard of a contract like that with a trucking company. Most will let you work it off over a year, or some other time period, but will also have in the contract that if you leave before you pay it off you have to pay back what is owed.

In other words, there is no 'promise' to work for them for a year. I know Swift won't give the diploma, certificate or whatever they call it until it has been paid off but that doesn't mean someone else can't or won't hire you.

With the way some of these companies treat their drivers you can't blame people for jumping at something better.

Why don't you keep your opinions to yourself if you don't have any helpful advice. You should know the situation before opening your suckhole. Now, why don't you try doing that?

Had to quit to take care of my kids after their mother went to prison. Don't know if that one ###hole knows anything about kids. He probably would've left them for the state to take care of. But my kids come before any job. I liked my job, but I love my children.
