Won't be posting on this site anymore. Looks like it's only for the perfect people like Pepper24. He can have it. I was just trying to share what I thought would maybe be helpful information to someone else.

I may go back to them after the mother of our kids gets released from prison. I was just trying to find something to keep me near my kids until she does get out.

While they are required to keep 6 months of logs, they are not required to provide copies to the driver on request. That's irreve;ent in either case. He was not able to get with USX because the school would not provide a 160 (or whatever) schooling certificate until the debt is paid off. That certificate is likely wanted by the insurance/safety people for if a wreck happens and the lawsuits fly.

Who said he's not. That contract has two repayment options. One is working a year and the other is paying back cash. Either one fulfills the contract so why be an ahole about it to someone trying to better himself and his family?

Just ignore him. What may be best is to start a new post with your situation and ask for advice. Most will be helpful, and the one or two that are ahols, just ignore them. Some people just can't stand to see others try and better themselves.

Thanks. I do have a thread I started a couple weeks ago about it. Lots of helpful people with helpful advice. I knew I would run into some not so helpful people also. What Pepper said just caught me off guard a little.

He said he wasn't paying on it .He said US express wouldn't hire him because the original carrier wouldn't release information and told him he needed to make arrangements to pay his original carrier. He said he couldn't pay because he had no job

Bettering yourself do you take that as just making more money? money comes and goes,Some of the greatest people in history were not great because they had the most money.Your life might be all about making an extra .02 cents a mile .I personally believe you are only as good as your word. There is a saying a good name is more desirable then all the riches of the world.

I'm with you to an extent, people should meet their obligations. However, life does happen and you do your best. No good comes from kicking someone when they're down.

I didn't believe I was kicking anyone. In reality the OP seems to add a lot of drama to what is a small problem that he brought on himself. So he owes a company what a few thousand dollars I don't even understand what problem he has other then not doing the responsible thing and working something out with the carrier ,So he didn't want to stay the year talk to them work out what is still owed, get a loan pay it off or tell them to hold 3 or 4 hundred a week out of his checks yes you might have to stay another two months get an uber job and pay it,it's not that big a deal It seems he was there for 6 months to me the easiest solution was finishing the year.6 months experience isn't going to get what is really a better job I mean he was trying to get on at us express not bad mouthing them but are they really any better then the other mega carriers

As for guessing what I would do with my children,I don't use my kids as a crutch to try to justify me not doing the responsible thing to someone I owe money to.I also don't post my personal life on any kind of social web sites.looking for someone else to make me feel better or give me an ideal how to beat someone out of money I owe.we all have hard times we have to get through. I personally wouldn't have took an Otr job in the beginning if I had children
