Pending or not is actually irrelevant. Every company out here has a policy that if you as a professional driver receive a traffic violation mainly probably a moving violation let's say that you are required to report it to your said carrier within a certain prescribed amount of time. Now if your ticket is as serious as what somebody said earlier in this thread there's no way you're going to beat that kind of ticket. And second or thirdly your company will find out at the end of the year when they get their violation report that you got a ticket in their motor vehicle. Companies out here get a report at the end of the year every year of the states their vehicles traveled in and all related violations. They will find out I promise you. I lost a job one time because of not reporting a ticket that I got and it wasn't a moving violation it was an hours of service issue. So take it for what it's worth look it up in the regs look it up in your company policy handbook whichever but they will find out eventually and you may not lose your job for it today but if you don't report it you'll lose your job for it at the end of the year when they get their reports because they will want to know why you didn't report it.

Wouldn't it also be reckless driving as it is more than 15 over?

I wouldn't report it knowing I'd be fired.
Some of us need steady paychecks.
Easy for some single guy, with no family to support, to tell you to report it.

I don’t think he’s ever said if it’s tied to an inspection report or if he simply got a ticket for 27 over the limit. If it’s tied to an inspection report he has no choice but to submit it to the carrier. If it’s just a ticket he can probably keep his mouth shut until after he’s convicted.

True. It depends on his situation.
He can keep getting a check until the company finds out he received a monumental speeding ticket and didn't report it- regardless of the adjudication.
In this case, the required reporting time is definitely past- most companies have policies that require reporting moving violations "immediately".
So, the OP is better off waiting to get fired for not reporting the ticket.
Some of us hate the feeling of not knowing when the firing will happen, especially if it could be as long as a year out.
Imagine that- 1 year later, hauling down the road, several months after getting the ticket knocked down to a non-moving violation and even forgetting that it ever took place. You get a route from dispatch heading back to the terminal unexpectedly. When you walk into the office they hand you your pink slip and tell you "you know what you did".
Maybe best just bite the bullet sooner than later- after some time to put another plan together and squirrel away a couple of checks...

Insurance usually pulls up the company once a year. January or February.

We used to have to sign a paper at the time they were getting ready to pull them up. Been awhile since that has happened.

You'd be surprised how many would lose their jobs in January. Companies didn't know their licenses has been suspended some time in the last 12 months.

Mine was 20 over on the grape. It was reduced to logbook violation.
I don't recall it hitting my mvr.
