I have drove W900, T600, T2000 but how are the T800's. I look at them and think it should be in the heavy haul, oil field or in construction. How is the ride and gearing in those. Do they have any room inside. They look good but in a way look like they ride like a tank and pull a house down.
Are KW T800 any good for OTR

We have quite a few T800's that run regional and a few OTR and they ride just fine. They run the same size sleeper that are on our 660's. I don't think there is too much difference in room with the two but it also depends how the rear ends are setup and all of that good stuff also

Same cab as a W900 & T600 as far as i'm concerned. And it would depend on the spec's and suspension thats under it

I was speaking with a Kenworth salesman about a T800 vs T600 a few years back. He said the T800 is built a little stronger, but I can't remember all the specifics. Being speced the same, the T800 cost more than the T600. It's designed more for vocational/construction use, which should make it a better resale candidate into the used construction truck market.

I see them they every now and then I don't see many otr. I figured it was just a work truck.

The only difference that I know of with a T800 is the hood and a beefier front frame structure. You can spec a T600 or a T2000 with alot heavier specs then you can with a T800. I have seen lotsa T800's with 86" studio bunks, 12/40 axles n highway gears. Just look at the truck paper site.

T800 is KW most versatile truck! It can be spec'd in almost unlimited configurations from OTR aero truck to a HD winch double steer variant. I know this, because I went through a 6 months research process and specing one for myself to use in the oil field haul in northern Alberta. It is an extremely customizable truck, my spec is 20 pages long. You definitely can't do that with T2000 or T600/660 (both no longer produced btw). Even the current T700 and T680 won't give you that many configurations as T800.
